The State of Competitive Intelligence 2025: Unveiling the top trends shaping the next era of compete
Now in its 8th year, The State of Competitive Intelligence is the industry’s definitive benchmark report — trusted by thousands of competitive intelligence and product marketing pros to understand how modern compete teams are built, measured, and scaled. This year’s report is our most revealing yet. The 2025 data confirms what many CI leaders already feel: Markets are more competitive, reps are underprepared, and billions are being lost in winnable deals. But it also shows a clear blueprint for how the best teams are rising above the noise — and how AI is transforming the discipline of competitive enablement at record speed. In this 30-minute keynote, Jon White, SVP of Product at Crayon, will walk through the most important trends that will define the future of CI: - What CI and sales alignment really looks like in 2025 — and how daily CI updates and executive sponsorship impact revenue - How high-performing teams are measuring CI success — including the KPIs that directly link compete to revenue outcomes - Budgets, headcount & investment trends — why lean teams with the right tech are outperforming larger ones - The new era of intel sharing — from monthly PDFs to always-on, multi-channel enablement across Slack, CRM, and AI assistant - The exponential rise of AI in CI — and how LLMs, and seller-facing GPT assistants are helping to solve the signal-to-noise problem
